WES TURN PAGE X KINGS LIZ FIVE

"Sierra"(shown above as a yearling) is a coming 3 year old and is by Wes Turn Page (Page Impressive X Sally Ann Wes). Wes Turn Page is a half brother to the AQHA leading halter sire in the nation for 2005 and 2006 Mr Yella Fella. Sierra's dam is out of Kings Liz Five, a Sonny Dee Bar mare. You can see her dam, "Lady", and sire, "Page", in our photo gallery under Horsin' Around. In 2008, Sierra had many firsts as a yearling and won Grand Champion Halter Horse for the day at the P.O.N.Y. show on July 27th. She finished her yearling year with a bang, winning the yearling halter class at the futurity and then going in the show and placing first in yearling again! As a 2 year old she was just as successful with all firsts and one fourth in 2 year old halter. She also did In Hand Trail for the first time and was the Year End Grand Champion. She is a great little mare and will have next show season off so that we can pay attention to some of our other show horses. Lightly started under saddle and doing great. Owned by Stacy Riley. WES TURN PAGE X DREAM OF A COWGIRL

"Skip" is a big 3 year old AQHA gelding with lots of chrome. Measures at 16.1hh and 16.3hh at his hip so he is still growing. His sire Wes Turn Page is by the Superior Halter horse Page Impressive and out of Sally Ann Wes an AQHA champion and superior halter mare. His dam Dream of a Cowgirl is a halter point earning daughter of World Champion, Top Ten World Show, Superior Halter and Performance Point Earner, An Obvious Cowboy. He is a wonderful gelding with LOTS of personality and is the center of attention here. You just can't help falling in love with him the minute you meet him. We have owned Skip since he was 4 months old but has not been shown due to his growth spurts and lack of body mass. We finally got him conditioned to where we want him and started him in his show career in 2009 as a 3 year old. He went to his first show in May 2009 at the LEPHC show at Stagecoach West in Irving and won the Stallion/Gelding Halter class and then received RESERVE CHAMPION HALTER HORSE only to be beat by our own mare Zima's My Name. Skip's first show season has finally ended and we are VERY pleased with him. He has been at a total of 7 shows winning RESERVE CHAMPION HALTER HORSE at 5 of the shows(he was beat by our mare Zima twice). Of the 13 halter classes that he has been shown in throughout his career he has placed first in 12 of them and second in one class. He is shown by Heather Oakes. Under saddle since January 2009 and was shown under saddle by Andrea Baldwin for his first time at his last show on August 23, 2009. Unfortunately, he was the only one entered in the jr. pleasure and equitation classes that day but they had an awesome ride in both classes. "Skip" is a half brother to our show mare "Sierra" shown at top of this page and to our yearling "Freckles". Owned by Mike and Stacy Riley.

MIGHTY AWESOME TOO X DREAM OF A COWGIRL(QH)

"Freckles" is our yearling this year. He is by Mighty Awesome Too, who is by the All-time leading sire of APHA halter point earners Mighty Awesome and out of a Norfleet bred mare. Mighty Awesome Too was the 2004 Open Stallion Horse Stock Type Pinto of the Year and the 2004 Amateur Stallion Horse Stock Type Pinto of the Year. He has an impressive 475 halter points. "Freckles" is out of our mare Dream of a Cowgirl who is a halter point earning daughter of World Champion, Top Ten World Show, Superior Halter and Performance Point Earner, An Obvious Cowboy. Was not shown as a weanling because he was born in June. We are currently preparing him for show next year. He is going through a bunch of growth spurts like his half brother "Skip" did at this age and hope he will be filled out for the 2010 show season. You will see this awesome gelding at the shows in 2010 so watch out! Owned by Stacy Riley.

"Zima" is a very well put together dark bay mare with a beautiful head who is used for showing, eventually breeding and some lessons. HYPP N/N. Zima's sire Black Stetson is a Black/White Overo APHA stallion with 6 Amateur western pleasure points, 5 novice/amateur western pleasure points, and 5 Open western pleasure points.. Her dam Bearly Ahint(AQHA) is a daughter of the Two-Time Reserve World champion, Superior Halter horse and multiple world champion sire Coosa. She also has 2 APHA points in halter and got her first 2 PAC points in Showmanship in 2009. At her first show of 2009, the LEPHC show at Stagecoach West, she won every class she went in, Mare halter, Color Breed halter, and was GRAND CHAMPION HALTER HORSE for the day. "Slick" is a nice, little mare that we bought to use in the lesson program and also for breeding. Her pedigree is all western pleasure but she could hold her own in halter. Her sire Ima Slick Impulse is a FULL brother to AQHA World Champion and 2-Time Congress Champion Ona Impulse. Their sire is A Sudden Impulse (World Champion Jr Western Pleasure and 2007 Leading Money Earning Sire) and their dam is Jackie Bee Slick an open and youth superior mare with 197.5 points and a World and Congress Champion producer. "Sassy" is a 1986 Gray AQHA Mare that we have owned since she was a 2 year old. She was a great mare and took Heather to her first grand championship in walk trot when she was eleven. She was used for lessons but developed arthritis in her knees had to be put down on August 27th, 2009. She made a huge impact on our lives and is greatly missed. Sassy goes back to Pigginstring Lad, Louie Deck, King and Peter McCue.
