BOARDING PROGRAM GOALS
Our goal here at Enchanted Oaks is to produce happy, healthy, and well cared for horses. Our boarding program consists of daily TLC. Your horse will be treated like one of ours and given the extra attention that you may not find at another facility. This is a full care facility and your horse will be given the top care every day. Our goal is to have the owner worry free so that you can enjoy your horse. We will do our best to meet the individual needs of your horse. Full care means your horse will have his own box stall and will be fed and watered 4 times a day, stall cleaned daily, and turned out daily to prevent boredom, bad habits and to make a happy horse!
MONTHLY BOARDING
Clients with horses being boarded will be charged a rate of $200 per month (based on 30 days at $6.67/day) The following is included in boarding charges:
- Full care 7 days/week
- Hay, grain, water, sawdust, stall cleaning, blanketing, and sheath or udder cleaning, routinely cleaned buckets
- Salt block available at all times
- Daily grooming and feet cleaning
- Daily turnout; individual or with a group; grass pastures with electric fence or corral with wooden fence, sand arena when not in use
- Use of arena, trails and trail obstacles
- Barn supplies: minor wound sprays, alcohol
- Clipping (bridle path, jaw, muzzle)
ADDITIONAL CHARGES NOT INCLUDED IN MONTHLY BOARDING FEE
- Medications such as bute, banamine, penicillin, deworming every 2 months, etc. These items will be billed at our cost when not given by a vet.
- Laundering and repairs to blankets, sheets, leg wraps, etc.
- Farrier, veterinarian, massage, chiropractic and show fees are due when services are rendered.
- Horses that are injured, lame, or ill must still be cared for and may even need extra attention. Under the judgment of the trainer/manger and the condition of the horse, the boarding rate of $6.67/day may increase to reflect the extra time spent with your horse for that specific time period only. These rates will only change if the owner does not have the time to help take care of the horse.
- Please bring your own fly spray, grooming supplies, halter and lead rope, and riding tack.
SHOW AND TRAVEL EXPENSES:
- Show preparation package: can be done day before the show or morning of the show and includes clipping (bridle path, ears, eyes, muzzle, jaw, and legs), bathing, banding, etc. at a rate of $12/hour for inside horses and $20/hour for outside horses.
- Day of the show package: (only available to inside horses) includes coaching and preparation at the show of horse and rider as well as warm-up and showing of the horse. Cost: $50 per day.(Does not include bathing, clipping, and banding and owner is responsible for all show and entry fees as well as all other show related charges including but limited to office fees and drug testing fees)
- Banding for inside horses $10.00, outside horses $15.00.
- Showing of an outside horse is $10.00 per class and owner pays entry fee.
**We are currently only boarding horses for the winter months to accomidate the number of horses we have coming in for training throughout the summer. So if you are looking for a place to take your horse during the winter months because you don't have shelter for your horse or you just plain don't want to be out in the cold all winter giving him the attention he wants, this is the place for him!
